Why holiday on one Greek island when you can plan a trip that includes visits to many? Getting around takes a bit of planning, but you can choose from cruise ships, ferries, yacht charters or air travel. Accommodation options include rental villas, hotels, guest houses and home stays. Listed here by region are 20 of the most popular Greek island destinations.

Cyclades
Amorgos
Rugged Amorgos, the most easterly of the Cyclades islands, has beautiful sandy beaches, a precipitous coastline, peaceful and serene bays and the magnificent Monastery of Hozoviotissa. Tourism infrastructure is rudimentary which this makes for a laid-back charm.

Delos
First inhabited in 3000 BC, this small island was the religious and commercial centre of ancient Greece. There are no towns or accommodation here, just quietness and a sense of history in the archaeological ruins.

Folegandros
This small, beautiful island has plenty of accommodation. Its busy port of Karavostassi has an extensive selection of restaurants and hotels, while Cars and motorcycles are banned in the cliff's edge village of Hora.

Mykonos
This cosmopolitan island, an expensive travel mecca, with unique cycladic architecture, bare hills, narrow alleyways and streets and red-roofed churches, is everything that Greek islands are famed for.

Naxos
Mount Zeus towers over this relatively quiet and charming island which is green and fertile. Pretty agricultural villages are perfect for experiencing island life sampling fresh produce including wines and olive oils.

Paros
On the main ferry run and popular with all types of travellers, Paros has picturesque inland villages, a busy port main town and some pretty beaches, particularly in the north around the fishing village of Naoussa.

Santorini
The most popular of Greek Islands. From the archaeological wonder of Akrotiri, a town preserved in volcanic ash, to its rocky outcrops and charming white-washed domestic architecture, Santorini is one of the world’s most spectacular islands.

Alright well i want to go on vacation this spring. it would be me my mom and mayb a couple of friends and their parents (me and my friends will b 15 and 16 so we wouldn't travle alone) we want to go sumewhere tropical and nice and it can't b to expensive. we don't want to go on a cruise and we dont' want to go anywhere thats a popular spot for older teens on spring break so florida is out. thnks a bunch for any suggestions and copy and paste sites with a group deal for spring break. ur answer will have a better chance at getting picked as best answer if u include alot of detail y u chose ur destination and if u found a package deal. thnks so so so so so much =]

Open Question: What to think of this situation?

Hey, I'm gonna start off with the background story I have a female friend which we went on a trip together to Europe for a vacation(strictly just friends). On the first night she met a guy who travelled along with us on the rest of the trip (btw...he also had a friend). Really nice guy...so what right? Anyways, on one of our destinations we all wanted to go to a club, but on the way my friend and her new "BF" decided they wanted some alone time. Ok fine, so I decided to go on to the club with the other guy and leave them alone. But before we separated, I asked her if she can take my camera cuz I don't want to lose it in the club and she agreed. So I come home late at night and go straight to bed (my friend and the guy were already asleep when I got back to the hostel). So the next day we woke up and went for breakfast and I forgot about the camera until we get back and I ask her for it. Of course she has no idea where it is and said the cleaning staff must have taken it. In the end, we decided that we'd split the cost of the lost camera (half each)...which I think is fair. Fast foward a few months, I asked her to pay me back. She replied with a message saying she shouldn't have to pay half the brand new price I paid at the time purchase but half of what it was worth at the time it was lost. Ok fine, I agree with that and admit I never thought about that. She also said she didn't like dealing with money issues between friendship. Ok...fine....but this is the part which really pisses me off. In the same email she writes, Honestly, I don't think I should be paying you anything at all. I watched your camera as a favour as a friend and because I lost it I have to pay for it? To me, it sounds she doesn't want to take any accountability at all and she's trying to get herself out of paying a small debt. And by saying "she was doing me a favour" made it sound like I asked something huge of her. Wow...Geez....I only asked her to watch my camera cuz they weren't going clubbing with us so it'd be safer with them. A simple task...and now she's trying to blame it back on me? And she contradicts herself when she said she doesn't want money to cause problems between us then saying I shouldn't have to pay you cause I was doing you a favour. I don't know...I thought I was already being fair by charging her half the price of an outdated camera. But by saying what was above, to me, it just pisses me off this tells me alot about her character. What do you people think?

Handy to Athens, the busy town of Poros is an island joined to the island of Poros by a causeway. The island is home to the scant remains of the Temple of Poseidon but the beaches are not so good.

Famous for its great beaches and nightlife, Spetses also has a harbour known for its wooden boat building industry. The main square in the town, the Dapia, has lots of interesting restaurants, while on the busy waterfront you can watch the boatbuilders at work.
