Here's the quick and dirty: 20-something female From West Virginia, so I'm pretty used to cold weather. Have traveled a lot within the U.S. Have traveled to London (and loved every second!) I have about a $500 budget for a 4-day trip Nov. 21-24 (not including airfare...it's a non-issue). Have a passport just sitting around collecting dust. I know some elementary French and could probably pick up a little Spanish before I leave if necessary. I can't for the life of me choose a destination! I'm interested in history, architecture, natural beauty...and probably some other things I can't think of at the moment. Warm weather would be nice, but is not a necessity. Had been thinking of Quito, Ecuador, or somewhere in the U.K. or Europe, but again, can't decide! Thanks in advance for your help!

My younger brothers, ages 13 and 9, do not like to travel. They would rather stay at home and play video games or football. How can I convince them to want to travel? I know they will enjoy almost any destination we could potentially travel to, for in the past, they have enjoyed vacations once we got there (the flight or drive to a destination makes them hostile). However, they absolutely refuse to go whenever the subject comes up. My parents and I are not trying to drag them to Europe where they would have to take tours of castles or museums. To get to the event, buy a ticket in advance. The ticket is rather expensive, but you get an unlimited amount of drinks, snacks, music and fun.

All in all, the ten-day festival programme is very extensive. There are various parties, concerts, competitions etc. taking place every day at different spots. For instance, visit soca music festival – the “island’s insomnia” which lasts for 12 hours. Or, take part in a competition for the most interesting hat, which you have to wear all day long. Winners get prizes.
